1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lingua-e (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lingua-e.

2. Description of Service

Lingua-e is an online English language learning platform aimed at software developers. The Service includes topic-based lessons, exercises, progress tracking, and other educational features. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to use the Service.

4. Account Registration

You may register using an email address and password or via a supported OAuth provider (Google or Microsoft). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at info@roxanalafuente.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Lingua-e offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are processed through PayPal. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) at the rate displayed at the time of purchase.

• Free trial: New accounts receive a 7-day free trial of the paid plan. No payment is required during the trial.
• Auto-renewal: Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.
• Refunds: All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, unused features, or change of mind. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge.
• Price changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Share, resell, or sublicense access to the Service to any third party.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
• Impersonate another person or entity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice or refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service, including but not limited to lessons, exercises, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to Lingua-e and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent.

8. No Guarantee of Results

Lingua-e provides educational content and tools to support language learning. We do not guarantee any specific learning outcomes, improvements in English proficiency, career advancement, or other results from using the Service. Individual results depend on factors outside our control, including effort, consistency, and prior knowledge.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lingua-e and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lingua-e and its owners, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to Sections 7, 9, 10, and 11.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Argentina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at info@roxanalafuente.com. If not resolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice in the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Lingua-e regarding the Service.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
• No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms. We may assign ours without restriction.
