actually vs currently
"Actually" corrects or clarifies something, it has nothing to do with the present moment. "Currently" is the word for "actualmente," describing what's happening right now.
actually
Means "in fact" or "in reality," usually to correct a misunderstanding or add a surprising clarification.
The common mistake: Se parece a "actualmente" en español, así que muchos hispanohablantes lo usan pensando que significa "en este momento." No es así: "actually" no tiene nada que ver con el presente.
"I thought the bug was in the frontend, but actually it was a backend issue."
currently
Means "at this moment" or "right now." This is the word you want when you mean "actualmente" in Spanish.
"I'm currently working on the login bug, it should be fixed by tomorrow."
