realize vs notice

Neither "realize" nor "notice" means to carry out a task. "Realize" is about a mental discovery. "Notice" is about perceiving something. For the Spanish "realizar una tarea" use "carry out," "perform," or "complete."

realize

Means "to become aware of something" or "to suddenly understand." It describes a mental event, not a physical action.

"I realized the bug only happened when the user was not logged in."

notice

Means "to observe" or "to become aware through the senses." Similar to realize but more about perceiving something external.

"Did you notice the API started returning 500s after the last deploy?"
