sympathetic
"Sympathetic" means showing compassion or understanding. For the Spanish "simpático" (friendly, likeable) use "nice", "friendly", or "likeable" in English.
sympathetic
Showing understanding, compassion, or support for someone going through a difficult situation.
The common mistake: "Simpático" en español significa agradable o amistoso.
"My manager was sympathetic when I explained the bug had caused me to miss the deadline."
