Lingua-e

About Lingua-e

I had a B2 level in English. And I still couldn't work confidently as a developer.

I had studied English since I was 6.

I had visited the US.

I had passed the First Certificate in English.

On paper, I was "good at English."

But in real life, back in 2015?

I froze in meetings.

I froze in standups.

I froze when I had to explain my code.

I knew what I wanted to say. I just couldn't say it clearly.

That's when I realized the real problem

The English you learn in courses is not the English developers use every day.

As a developer, you read English constantly: Stack Overflow, documentation, error messages. You see words like pull request, bug fix, rollout, sprint, feature

And most English teachers can't really explain them, because they're too specific to coding.

This is the gap nobody is fixing

Most English apps teach generic English. Travel phrases. Random vocabulary. Gamified exercises.

But you don't need to ask: "Where is the train station?"

You need to:

  • Explain your code
  • Talk about bugs and decisions
  • Answer interview questions clearly
  • Speak in standups, PR reviews, Slack messages

And no one is training that.

I built Lingua-e because I saw this everywhere

Developers who:

  • Can code at a high level
  • Read English every day
  • But freeze when speaking

People who get rejected in interviews, not because of their skills, but because they couldn't express them clearly.

People who spent money on courses and still couldn't speak.

People who feel like: "I know English… until I have to use it."

I was one of them

After more than 2,000 standups in English, something changed. Not because I learned more grammar. But because I started using English in real situations.

I also started helping developer friends do the same, giving them simple ways to feel more confident when speaking. Lingua-e comes from that experience.

This is not about perfection

You don't need perfect grammar. You don't need a perfect accent.

You need to:

  • Respond without freezing
  • Be clear and assertive
  • Say what you actually mean

That's what gets you hired. That's what gets you promoted.

What this unlocks

  • Better opportunities.
  • Remote jobs.
  • Higher salaries.

Because English isn't just a skill. It's the key to better opportunities.

What Lingua-e is really about

Closing the gap between:

"I understand English"

"I can use it when it matters"

You don't need more lessons. You need practice that looks like your real life.

That's what Lingua-e is built for.
