I wasn’t just worried about making mistakes—I feared I wouldn’t understand native speakers’ questions. And as an introvert, speaking in front of a group was already challenging, even in my native language. So, to survive those meetings, I wrote down my status update and read it out loud, hoping no one would ask me anything.
